Without any doubt, the best website of it's type I have ever viewed. The one thing that
I do not understand is I did a search using AOL Search and to my surprise A little icon
size photo of me came up over your URL? Could it be that you once visited my Website at:
http://geocities/Warhawk1940/index.html? A little about me - I am retired from the US
Air Force. I was previously stationed at the old Clark Air Base, Angeles, Pampanga.
Two tours 1955-1956 and again 1960-1963. I consider my assignments in the Philippines
the best and most enjoyable of my career. Angeles was not what one would call a great
town, however I traveled most of Luzon and fell in love with Baguio and Manila. During
my single days, I spent lots of time at my favorite spots on the old Dewey Blvd at the
Riviera Club and the El Latino. My favorite Filipino musician, Carding Cruz, fronted
the house band at the Riviera Club. Spent some time at the Jai Alai fronton also. I
was married in the Philippines during my second tour to my former wife Mona Lisa.
We have since divorced, however we remain in touch and good friends. During my first
tour I was lucky enough to have dated a Miss Manila contestant, a nice dancer who traveled
the Far East, and the daughter of the Mayor of Angeles City. I have several friends in
the Philippines with whom I keep in touch with after all these years. I would very
much appreciate it if you would visit my Website. There are many vintage/recent photos
of the Philippines during the era 1940s to the present. The photo here is the one that
showed up over your URL when I searched for my name (Herman Snead). I was just curious
if anything would come up with my name. Hey, your Website is truly the best. God Bless
and keep up the good work.
